YouTube has a live cochlear implant operation on video. The surgery was performed in July at Tampa General Hospital by Loren Bartels, M.D., F.A.C.S., Director of the Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center, and Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. It is narrated and runs 55 minutes long. Two caveats: it is not for the squeamish and it is not captioned, much to my dismay.
